Australian Cattle Dog

The Australian Cattle Dog, also known as the Australian Heeler, Blue Heeler, Red Heeler, Queensland Heeler and Hall's Heeler, was bred in Australia to herd cattle over long distances. They were known to do the job effectively while staying quiet and patient. The can also manage goats, horses, and even water fowl!

The Cattle Dog is known for its determination and intense focus on whatever job is at hand. They were recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1980 as a member of the working group and was transferred to the herding group in 1983.
